Take the First Steps to Becoming a Member

We believe the best memberships start with the right fit - for you and for the group. That’s why we invite you to experience SBOA before officially becoming a member.

Here’s the typical path:

1️⃣ Join Our Online Community

Start by joining our SBOA Facebook group. It’s the easiest way to meet members, see upcoming events, and get a feel for our culture.

2️⃣ Visit a Few Meetings

We encourage prospective members to attend 3 chapter meetings. This gives you a chance to:

  • See how meetings run

  • Learn about other members’ businesses

  • Share about your own business in a relaxed setting

3️⃣ Have a Few One-on-One Conversations

Strong referrals come from real relationships. We suggest setting up one or two one-on-one meetings with chapter members to get to know each other better.

4️⃣ Submit a Membership Application

When you feel aligned and ready to plug in more consistently, you can complete a membership application. This helps us:

  • Avoid major industry conflicts

  • Keep chapter balance healthy

  • Make sure you’re stepping into a group where you can truly thrive

Nicole has over 15 years in the insurance and financial services space. She is the licensed agent and owner of Acuhawk Insurance Solutions, an independent insurance brokerage offering a variety of small business and personal insurance options including liability, property, life, and health insurances. She is passionate about helping people protect what is most important to them.

Nicole is the Small Business Owners' Alliance Founder and Group President. She still actively leads Chapter 1, while also regularly attending and supporting other group chapters. From the back-office admin to strategic goal planning, Nicole works hard to support our incredible community.
